Zenox finds a man encased in crystal. That man awakes with no memory of his name or why he's here. All he knows is that it's wrong, that he shouldn't be here. Zenox gives him the name Arch, as homage to the symbol that litters the place he was trapped in (and adorns the collar around his neck).Is this still earth? Zenox tells him that he's in Heaven, a sanctuary above the scorched planet, but if a divine heaven is truly real, Arch should be in hell. The past cannot be repeated. He needs to get a grip and figure out what really happened to the world, and himself.

Arch, despite not having a lot of memories or knowledge about himself or the world, is very headstrong and insistent of knowing better. He struggles constantly with his inner conflict of wanting to fix things and not giving a single fuck about any of the people around him.Arch is an oxymoron personified. He yearns for control, yet he has none. None at all. He's always been like this, even before Omega corrupted his core.

When he wakes up the world is different. The world he used to live in is a distant memory. A memory he willingly lets go.
This is a new begining. He's Arch now. He will find out what happened, he will find out his role in this, and he will find a purpose for his existence.At first he recruits Zenox to show him around and teach him about the place they're at, but more and more things that Zenox had considered facts keep unraveling thanks to Arch, so that they both become unsure about what's true and what's lies.

Zenox is your typical undecided youth. He will say he knows exactly what he wants, and he genuinely seems like it, but don't let his exterior fool you. This man is one bad thing away from a breakdown.
Before he found Arch, everything was fine. Everything was definitely not crumbling apart around him while he blissfully ignored all the things that overwhelm him. He went through his life repressing any doubt, avoiding questions.
That man just stumbles into his life and turns it around.

Growing up in Eden, he spent most of his childhood in Nature. He doesn't remember much of the time when his father was still around, but he feels a strong connection to his job: explorer. He loves exploring the islands and collecting random stuff he finds, especially artifacts of the old world.His mother keeps trying to push him in other directions, pities him for his god-less life. But no matter how much she talks and how convincing it may seem, nothing will make him believe in the benevolence of a God that let his father disappear and leave him alone with her.

Sera is a childhood friend of Zenox. They met one day when Zenox found one of her drones. They bonded quickly over their shared interest of Elysium and Old World ruins and artifacts.Sera has always been confined to staying in the city. Their parents are both Librarians and members of the Inner Orbit and have important duties to the people. They knew from the beginning that their child would one day join that important rank as well.
And knowing that, Sera was not allowed to make too many attatchments to this world, to the way people live, to the people themselves. It's better to not be attatched, because once you learn the truth of this world...you won't be able to look those people in the eyes anymore.

People live in peace, there is no poverty and everyone is equal.The inhabitants of Heaven "worship" a God of many names. The most popular is Kukulkan, the mesoamerican god who ended the world for good.

History

The Harbour is the biggest of the sky islands. Originally it was the direct surrounding area of the main incident on Judgement day. In the middle of it theres a big vaguely star shaped hole, which used to be the center of the old city with all the laboratories and investors residing on a hill.

Overview

Bigger islands around the main one that are used for most of farming. There are many small villages across those islands, where the people tending to the land reside.These islands are officially governed by Heaven's Harbour, but the islands themselves (sometimes multiple form a group) are organized by local representatives, sometimes delegates of the central government. They’re usually volunteers, though there are also sometimes elections held, or aid requested, when no one initially volunteers and/or qualifies for the job.

History

Over time more and more islands found their way together. The people living on them started to connect them to form the cluster of islands known today.

Overview

Elysium is used by Heaven's Harbour as natural reserve. The society values nature a lot, afraid a calamity would befall their heaven if they defiled this beauty as the people rotting in hell did with earth.Heaven’s Harbour doesn't govern this place at all. The few people living here are selfgoverning, usually just simple homesteaders who prefer the solitude. However, there is social trading between communities.

Geography

The outer orbit is made up of significantly smaller islands than the central one. The biggest islands in the outer orbit makes up a huge forest system. Towns are usually built on singular islands per plot, then tied together with bridges for access.Farther inside is a lot of greenery as well as a temperate rain forest. Further out the climate is harsher with lots of wind, making it more reminiscing of grasslands.

History

When Heaven's Harbour was founded, some people didn't agree with the religious ideas and formed their own societies in the outer orbit (Elysium). These societies tried to emulate the old way of life as best they could and also wanted to find out how the surface was doing. Over the years they either stopped trying and decided to use their chance at a good life on the islands, or the ones that were brave enough made the one way trip down to the planet.Often times people who decide to move to Elysium do it because they can’t bear knowing the truth about Heaven. They can’t look people in the face and lie about the true nature of their god. This is a choice everyone is free to make when accepted into the Innermost Orbit.

Heaven’s citizens are chosen by God(s) as the most rightful and worthy of living on. The earth below them was burned to a crisp by God(s) as punishment for mistreatment of the planet, for their greed.Heaven’s people are different from normal humans, they are post human. They are angels, connected to the stars above. All the families were all "rebirthed" into star related names because the stars are all these ppl have anymore. There's only mist and clounds below and around them.Every citizen has ultimate freedom to do with thelseves whatever they want. They are holy and holy are their wishes. There are no rules to self-actualization other than you are explicitly urged to self-actualize. Selfishness is not seen as a bad thing, as long as it doesn’t harm anyone else or the environment. In this society, those are shunned who have no idea of what to do with their life. People who don’t develop any passions or particular interests, who see no purpose in life. The Innermost Orbit will do whatever they can to help them find purpose.

Practices, Laws, Customs, and Traditions

-there's an annual festival to celebrate the founding of heaven’s harbour.-Annual festival as memorial to mourn the earths suffering on Judgement day. The earth sacrificed herself for judgement to be passed. They thank her in graditude and send down seeds and art of all kinds through the hole in the middle of Heaven's Harbour to rain on the planet, not as a sacrifice of their own, but as a gift to help her grow back.

Mostly just a metropilis. There are parks ofc but its an ultra modern city that uses ancient roman aesthetics and philosophies. Lots of pillars in the architecture, especially of corinthian order.It's mainly Jupiter's doll house.

Some people conspire that the Maya Calender actually lasted until 20XX but the Spanish erased all evidence of the last section.Another popular theory is that asian scientists were involved, who failed (succeeded?) at creating a real divine dragon (a long dragon MUST be a Long, this absolutely was the work of chinese communists!!!).
